Evasion Sports is first and foremost a family adventure. It all began with the union of
Marianne (née Gard), from Martigny, and Dominique Roux, a native of Verbier
and son of Angèle and Gilbert Roux, the first director of the Tourist Office and
co-founder of TéléVerbier. Together, they worked for 17 years in Dominique's brother's shop in the resort, before flying off on their own skis
(sorry, wings!) and opening their own store in Savoleyres in 1990.

For Marianne and Dominique, Evasion Sports is a bit like their "fourth child," after Sophie, Christine, and François. And since then, the "child" has grown a lot!

At the time, the store's size was limited to a quarter of its current size. Little by little,
the couple expanded their playground by converting neighboring homes into retail spaces. Then, in 2000, the adventure took on new impetus with the creation of the public limited company Evasion Verbier SA, bringing together Marianne, Dominique, and their three children around the project.

Over the years, several generations of the family have worked in the store, alongside a team that is both local and international, warm and professional, always ready to welcome loyal customers. Today, Christine holds the torch, assisted by Mathieu Baumeler.
